Heritage Title is proud to offer Remote Online Notarization (RON) on qualifying transactions. RON allows a certified notary to verify the identity of the buyer and seller in an encrypted online portal. All involved parties for the transaction can access the notary portal anywhere in the world, all they need is a Wi-Fi connection and access to a device with audio and visual capabilities.

What is Remote Online Notary/RON?

The act of notarizing documents electronically with an electronic seal online, from a separate physical location than the signer.

Qualifying for RON

Buyers, ask your lender if they support RON closing, the act of closing a mortgage digitally in a secure, online environment with documents executed and accessed electronically.

Sellers can sign all documents through a RON closing.

How Does Remote Online Notarization Work?

It’s a simple process that saves both the buyer and seller time.

Let your realtor or Heritage Title know that you would like to do a RON.
Provide a good e-mail that a link can be sent to you on the day of closing to begin the RON.
On the day of closing, using a smart phone or computer, access your e-mail and click on the link provided.
Appear and prove identity (this step will be provided in the link that is sent to you).
Once the questions are answered on your end, the notary will receive notice you are ready to sign and the notary will then initiate the RON.
The notary will then walk you through the documents you are to E-sign.
Once completed, the notary files the documentation and sends the signer a copy of all the documents that they e-signed.
And your done!
